What religion are these people?

Posted on August 28th, 2009 by admin

I occasionally see small groups of women at the airport dressed in an odd manner. They never travel alone and usually have small children with them. They dress in handmade sun dresses that fall below the knee and above the ankle, white bonnets, and work boots or sneakers. Obviously they aren’t Amish since they’re flying in airplanes…who are these people, why do they dress that way, and what are their beliefs? I’m guessing its a religious group like the Amish, but I really don’t know.

Could be Mennonites. most Quakers are far more modern in dress. Picture of Mennonite dress: http://www.users.bigpond.com/randymiller/Graphics/t99photos/yellowhead/the_mennonites_that_invited_us_to_stay_with_them.jpg

Hello Folks, what about big Transams?

Posted on August 28th, 2009 by admin

I seem to have a Transam, the " baby" one at 4.9 litres, white, with the silly eagle transfer on the bonnet removed, the catylictic converters removed, to make room for the broom-broom 8 exhaust pipes.
Daft, in terms of carbon emissions, but what about my boat ?
It chucks out blue smoke to get me slowly about the countryside.
Mr Brown putting up the road tax to £400, for bigger cars will only result in a nonesense..
That is not the problem, you twit !

All thoughts on the subject thankfully recieved.

Bob.

4.9? and smokes? Time for a new engine.Earlier Trans Ams came with 350ci, 400ci I personally would go for a 326ci,lots of power for that car.Bigger blocks were too much power and the rear end of the car too light. You may also want to go with the ’small block’ 400 with 350ci crank and rods, high energy ignition and 4 barrel Holley dual pump carburetor. Can not give you enough info here.Good Luck
