what is the best way to clean polishing compound out of buffer bonnets?

i dont want to throw them in the washer…maybe dishwashing detergent in the sink?

wash with kerosene

    if you have a wool pad use a buffing spir or a screw driver while the pad is spining. a foam pad find an edge like a wood door jamb or the edge of a plastic bucket . if all else fails wash the pads in just water and skwish out the compound let it dry and buff away. 15 years of buffing.
