How to remove rust and touch up on car front bonnet?

HI,

I got a small stone chipped on my front car bonnet and its beginning to rust. May I know what is the process to remove the rust, treat it and paint over it so that the rust will disappear? (I have bought the touch-up paint already from dealer).

you first try to remove the rust with a sand paper. then when it is substantially erased off, paint it over.
