ESL Employment: My Opinion

Posted on February 19th, 2010 by admin

Seekers of ESL employment opportunities might follow many different approaches. This is a good thing because the flexibility in terms of the jobs that are open allows different people with different needs and situations to find a job that fits them. This keeps them in the proverbial game as far as landing a solid job offer. Among these opportunities for ELS employment are:

Overseas employment: Just like it sounds, this would involve signing a contract with an ESL employment service and traveling overseas to teach English. Once the instructor arrives in the country, he or she would be assigned a student to teach.

Domestic teaching refers to teaching that is within this country, rather than overseas. This branch of ESL employment is about teaching ESL students who live in the same country as the instructor. These classes may be taught in a location chosen by the company which employs the student or they may be given at the residence of either the teacher or the pupil.
