Follow Up Letter Sample and Tips
Here is a breakdown of how you might structure a follow-up letter.
First Paragraph: Begin the letter by reminding the interviewer who you are. Mention the position title. Do not assume the interviewer will remember you.
Second Paragraph: Briefly emphasize why you are the ideal candidate for the position. Include information in your letter that is unique to your interview. Add any explanation to questions that came up during the interview and close with an offer to provide additional information if needed.
Do not underestimate the POWER of the telephone. Don’t rely on e-mail or the postal system to communicate for you. Pick up the phone!! Be persistent and consistent.
