Why most of the Yellow Colored School Buses are in the outmoded shapes, having bonnets,in Western Countries?

Posted on February 5th, 2010 by admin

This type of nose shaped buses were plying in India during 1960s.
I have heard interesting things about these buses.
These buses used to sneeze too.Small children used to think that because of the nose, and affected by cold.
Actually sneezing was due to air compressor unloader or lift of safety valve of the air bottle,I think.

I think Redsky can’t take jokes. Back to the question, I don’t see any problem it. And you know, with nose, it is more aerodynamic thus saving more fuel..

Where can I get scotch bonnet peppers?

Posted on December 15th, 2009 by admin

I need some peppers for jerk chicken. In the milwaukee area? If not, Chicago/northern illinois area? Not looking for habaneros. Got the pimento sticks, wood chips, leaves and berries-going for authenticity. Not in sauce or dried form-need the actual peppers. Anywhere to get them online?
No, scotch bonnets and habaneros are NOT the same. Like I said, going for authenticity. Not just looking for spice out of the peppers, looking for the added flavor they bring as well.

Scotch bonnets and habaneros are NOT the same thing but they are close enough to substitute.
Try a Mexican grocery. I wonder if there is a grocer that carries them near where a restaurant I used to like called "Sabina’s" is there?
I wouldn’t think you would have to resort to online or Chicago.
Do you have Trader Joe’s? They might have them.

How do I open the bonnet on a 1993 Citroen ZX?

Posted on November 11th, 2009 by admin

I’ve pulled the red lever under the steering wheel, and tried the catch inside the grill on the left of the badge, but neither seem to be working. Any ideas?

if the cable has stretched the red handle under the wheel will not release the bonnet to allow catch at the front to work .when you pull the red one the bonnet should pop up about an inch if it dont get someone to lean on the bonnet while you pull the red leaver this takes the pressure off the catch and sometimes allows the stretched cable to work if you get it open fit a new cable

Does anyone remember plastic foldup rain bonnets? Did you wear them as a child or later? Anyone still do?

Posted on November 5th, 2009 by admin

I wore them regularly until I was about 13 and got my first umbrella of my own as a birthday present. I also had a bright red plastic raincoat for most of primary school. I used to enjoy the rain and opening and closing my rainhat. I remember one rainhat I had for a few years had white umbrellas printed on it, another one little white dots. I bought a practically unused one in a second-hand shop a few months ago and I have worn it a few times, at the football and places like that where using an umbrella is a nuisance.

I sure do!! I have several. Good to have. I’ll loan one to you if you need it,friend.

How do I open a Vauxhall Corsa Active bonnet?

Posted on November 1st, 2009 by admin

I’ve got my driving prac tomorrow, and I want to study the inside so if they ask any questions, I can ACTUALLY open the bonnet and answer them successfully.

So how do you open a Vauxhall Corsa Active bonnet?

Thanks.

Under the side of the dash panel is a pull knob, pull that and the bonnet will pop up. Go to the front of the car and look between the bonnet and the grill for a safety release lever. Slide that to one side and lift up on the bonnet. You will see a support rod fastened along the front brace, lift that to the hole in the bottom frame of the bonnet to support it.
