You have searched the internet etc and found all your great rental car coupons and now you have a great deal for your next family vacation or business trip. Now you put the car coupons to one side ready to use a little closer the time. Best to read the small print though as your great deal may not be that great.
Look for the term “blackout dates”. Why? Well they are dates when you cannot use your discount rental car coupons. Why do rental car companies restrict certain dates? Well they use car coupons simply to tempt you into booking with them. They don’t want to lessen their profits unnecessarily and so why give a discount at a time they don’t need to. The restrictions are therefore as you have likely already guessed are peak car rental times like holiday times. The peak times vary between state and country so you will need to check more first. Most car rental companies restrict their acceptance of coupons at peak times and holidays.
