Sun flowers one of my favorite things, a few years back farmers in the area were filling an area of their fields with them, people took drives to view them, with ahs and awhs,< I do so with the read of your lovely pen.

Every year we plant with our grandchildren, sunflowers on our allotmentt which is close to their school. We all share the journey and are constantly amazed at just how huge these beautiful flowers grow. The heads are simply magnificent. They have brightened up many a dull summer day with their colour. The children have a competition to see whose grows tallest. Thanks for sharing

I imagined you driving by each day watching as the flower grew and then succumbed to time. I had a fascination (still do truth be told) with sunflowers as a child. There was a field by my house. Anything unusually large or small attracted me. I love how you take the seemingly simplest of things and make a poem of them.x.
