What religion are these people?

I occasionally see small groups of women at the airport dressed in an odd manner. They never travel alone and usually have small children with them. They dress in handmade sun dresses that fall below the knee and above the ankle, white bonnets, and work boots or sneakers. Obviously they aren’t Amish since they’re flying in airplanes…who are these people, why do they dress that way, and what are their beliefs? I’m guessing its a religious group like the Amish, but I really don’t know.

  5. they are Mennonites more than likely. These group is similar to Amish but do use things like cars, electric, phones and such but are not allowed to used a zipper because it is to technical. They are Christians.

  6. They are probably Amish. Most of the Amish now adays do not ride in horses and buggies anymore. They have to make long distance trips to places like hospitals and other services like the rest of us. Some of them do have cars, and take planes because its become necessary in today’s modern age of transportation.

  7. Mennonites. There are a lot at my college. They look almost Amish, but they go to public schools and everything. They are normal. Don’t be afraid. lol

  9. They might be amish, Some Amish people will use modern forms of transportation, they just dont beleive in owning them. Theyre probably mennonites though.
