A Permanent Magnet Generator & How It Works
A permanent magnet generator is typically driven by different things based on your application. The shaft is generally rotated by some kind of mechanical force. Like the pulley and belt at the front of your car’s motor which drives the alternator. Or the shaft in the engine for a gasoline powered generator,or moving water considering the hydroelectric design, etc. The point is that there is always some thing which turns the shaft.
By using permanent magnets the generator will require less power to run itself. These generators used to be just an imagination but they are now a reality. Some energy efficient experts believe that these generators will soon be more popular than solar and wind energy efficient devices.
