Flax seed and medication – any problems?

Obviously your medication needs to be absorbed, so you need to be careful of anything that reduces their absorption. Flax seed meal for example contains fibre and this might be one such thing that can reduce the absorption of your medicines. Always ask your Physician if you want to eat lots of flax seed to make sure it is OK. You could ask if it is OK to eat flax seed just at different times to when you take your medication or maybe you need to take flax seed oil because there is no fibre in that and you still get other nutrients. It is very unlikely you won’t be able to add this wonderful little seed to your diet but you might just need to be creative about how you do it.
